Clinch Gear CrossFit athlete Kevin Ogar suffered a serious injury this past weekend at the OC Throwdown. Kevin sustained the injury during a snatch event and suffered damage to his T11/12 discs as well as a severed spinal cord. Kevin has successfully undergone one surgery and is undergoing a second surgery on 1/14/2014 at 9:30AM Pacific.
The first of two recovery funds has been setup by members of CrossFit Unbroken at https://fundly.com/kevin-ogar-s-recovery with a second planned to launch today by the non-profit organization Barbells For Boobs which is a strong member of the CrossFit community. We will post the link to the second recovery fund page once it is live.
UPDATE- A new recovery fund has been setup at KEVINOGAR.COM that allows for donations and will update the status of Kevin’s recovery.

UPDATE– Kevin’s second surgery went great and he is reportedly having sensations in his lower extremities. Kevin is in great spirits and true to his nature has a very positive outlook.
UPDATE (1/19/2014)– Kevin is now out of the CCU and should be transferred to Craig Hospital in Denver this week!
UPDATE (1/21/2014)– We spoke to Kevin directly and he is in great spirits. He thanks everyone for the love he’s been shown and should be transferred to Craig hospital in Denver this Thursday!
