Michael Chandler defends title

Bellator Lightweight Champion and Clinch Gear fighter Michael Chandler successfully defended his title at Bellator 85 against Rick Hawn. Chandler opened the fight utilizing his superior speed and footwork to stifle Hawn in the first round.  In the second round Chandler turned up the pace staggering Hawn before methodically taking the back of Hawn to sink in the fight winning rear naked choke. Congratulations to Michael Chandler on his dominating victory. With the win Chandler takes his place as one of the top 5 lightweight fighters in the world.
